With the Advanced package, powerful on-screen information including real-time productivity and fuel efficiency data, live feedback and interactive operator guidance equip operators with the data and knowledge to get maximum results from their Volvo Excavator. A streamlined version, Operator Coaching Start, is available free-of-charge.

Operator Coaching Start

A streamlined, free-of-charge, version of the Operator Coaching solution – Start – is standard on all new generation Volvo Excavators with the Kinetic Sensor Package installed.

Operators get a visual display of how they are performing when it comes to utilization, swing, dump height and relief pressure – along with a combined performance score out of 100. Operators can also see operating time, average fuel consumption and total fuel consumption, which is resettable as required.

Operator Coaching Advanced

Operator Coaching Advanced is available via subscription within Dig Assist. Advanced builds on the functionality available within Start to provide a wealth of information, designed to help operators unlock the total potential of their Volvo Excavator and achieve optimum productivity and fuel efficiency.

Features include real-time productivity data per shift with efficiency metrics, trend graphs for the last 20 days or 8 machine hours, utilization statistics, operating time and fuel usage categorized by pattern types and engine modes, weight distribution across patterns, and operator tips.

Features overview

Key information relating to machine utilization (operating time, fuel consumption, distance travelled) is clearly displayed on the Volvo Co-Pilot, and can be reset separately from the machine display.

Keep track of key indicators including utilization, swing, dump height and relief pressure.

Monitor tonnes moved per liter, tonnes moved per hour, fuel consumed per hour and total payload. Information is displayed as a total for the entire work shift and for the active work.

Displays an overview of operating time by pattern (7 kinds), operating time by engine mode step (1-10), fuel usage by pattern (7 kinds) and weight by pattern (7 kinds).

Real-time score and graphical visualization of operator performance across previous shifts.

Operators receive real-time guidance on how to best operate the machine based on the prevailing conditions, such as when grading and model level is over 7 for 60-seconds, or when exceeding the set target angle more than five times.

Operators receive interactive feedback based on ‘What to improve’ and what to keep. Feedback is viewed by tapping on a feedback point, which brings up information on improvement areas and a QR code link to the relevant instructional video. At the start of each shift operators are greeted with a performance summary from the previous shift.
