Volvo offers new proactive protection to prevent problems

The newly introduced Proactive Monitoring from Volvo Construction Equipment equips dealers and customers with the tools to maximize machine uptime and reduces repair costs.

volvo proactive protection

Volvo Construction Equipment has developed Proactive Monitoring, a new uptime service designed to optimize machine availability, minimize repair costs and significantly decrease the risk of unplanned downtime.

Available for new and existing Volvo customers, the smart solution utilizes innovative technology that enables Volvo dealers to remotely monitor alarms and fault codes on customers’ machines. By independently tracking machine deviations, Volvo dealers can diagnose problems early on and proactively take corrective steps before the customer realises a problem exists. With the right diagnostic information and the right parts on hand, a Volvo
service technician can be dispatched to the site and perform repairs with minimal downtime, so machines remain productive and profitable for longer.

Total support
Using Proactive Monitoring means customers can rest assured that their machines are in the safe hands of experienced and professional certified Volvo dealers. When an alarm or a fault code occurs, the customer will receive a phone call or email notification from their dealer, helping to plan when the corrective action can be performed.

Proactive Monitoring also allows Volvo dealers to provide recommendations on how to increase uptime and reduce total cost of ownership. By offering insight into why persistent machine issues are occurring, examining how machines are being used and suggesting components, attachments or work tools that best suit the application, Volvo dealers use Proactive Monitoring to help customers maintain maximum uptime, productivity and profitability.

Solutions secured
Proactive Monitoring is an optional solution available for Volvo wheel loaders and articulated haulers with CareTrack, and both crawled and wheeled excavators from Q4 2016. For more information, Volvo customers should contact their local dealership to find out how Proactive Monitoring can help up their uptime.
