Wheel Loaders – BM-Volvo

In the mid-60s the first real major changes in development followed and the loaders broke completely new ground. The loaders were the first in the world with the allrounder concept and introduced fast, efficient and operator-friendly machines with powerful engines, power shift and four wheel drive. In addition, in 1969 Volvo introduced the world's first hydraulic attachment bracket, a new feature and a technical advance which further consolidated the company's world-leading position. New features that were offered in:

1965 – Countershaft transmission, power shift transmission 
1969 – Hydraulic attachment bracket 
1970 – Pilot operated hydraulics, articulated steering 
1971 – Single hydraulic lever control
1972 – Full dual circuit brake system, ROPS/FOPS cab
