The company-owned dealer operations for Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) in Singapore and Malaysia are now certified to ISO standards for optimised quality of service and performance.

Roger Tan, Head of Market SEA, together with Benson Tan, Head of Core Values Region Asia and DNV audit team led by Global Lead Auditor for Singapore, Ulric Ilvéus.

At the end of 2022, Volvo CE embarked on ISO Certification for its Singapore and Malaysia dealer operations, finalising the intensive process on November 7th, 2023. Four company-owned dealer sites across Malaysia are now fully certified: those in Shah Alam, Ipoh, Kuantan and Johor. In addition, the company-owned dealership in Singapore is also certified. All have full, globally-compliant certification covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

The decision to obtain certification stems from a desire to enhance operational standards and ensure quality and compliance with recognised global benchmarks. Under the ISO framework, the teams in Singapore and Malaysia can ensure strategically important core values are embedded across operations, environmental management, safety and overall employee well-being.

Detailed preparation went into the certification including internal audits, safety training, and verification of other operations. This proactive approach reflects Volvo CE's dedication to excellence and safety across its regional operations.

Rodger Tan, Head of Market SEA, said, “We are thrilled to end the year with such a terrific achievement in confirming our ISO certification. Collaboration has been at the heart of our journey, and our goal is to continue tapping into our expertise and experience to strengthen our core values across dealerships. As we continue to expand in Asia, we expect to secure certification for other sites in the region. We want to have the highest operational standards in the industry so we can truly deliver on our commitment to excellence and safety.”
