Construction Equipment India

KEEPS ON GOING, DIGGING DEEP

Wonders abound in Nagaur District of Rajasthan State. Foremost among them is the fact that this is the land which produces Makrana Marble – the marble used in the construction of one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Taj Mahal. Makrana Marble is renowned across continents for its shiny white shades of lofty tranquillity. This is one marble which, upon mining, is cut and chiselled straightaway without being subjected to any form of treatment. “No wonder, Makrana Marble has been used extensively in several iconic monuments like Taj Mahal and Victoria Memorial,” says Joraramji, Managing Partner, Shri Ram Mining & Infra. “It’s the ultimate marble for sculpture and building decor. That said, our District is blessed with abundant reserves of other minerals too – limestone, lignite, gypsum to name a few.”

Based out of Kuchaman City in Nagaur District, Shri Ram Mining and Infra is an established player in coal and limestone mining. The Company has a proven track record in quality and timely delivery of projects. “Success in the mining business is earned over time – only after acquiring a lot of valuable experience and expertise,” says Joraramji. “Backed by, of course, the finest equipments - like our Volvos.”

Power that delivers for years
Assisting Shri Ram Mining & Infra in its mining endeavours is a fleet of thirteen EC 300DL and EC 480DL Volvo excavators. They are at work at various limestone and coal mining sites spread across Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. “The best thing about Volvo machine is - it surpasses your best expectations,” says Joraramji. According to him, a Volvo will invariably give a pleasant surprise to customers when it comes to productivity, cost efficiency and long-term value. One of his EC 480 DL excavators, he points out, has run over 17,000 hours without any failure, highlighting huge uptime gains that can be achieved with a Volvo.

He believes Volvo excavators as a rule are more productive because of better swing and cycle times. He is convinced the fuel efficiency and cost-per-tonne value offered by the machines is unmatchable. He is deeply appreciative of the after-market service provided by local Volvo CE dealer, BSES India. “We can always count on them for professional onsite support – on time, each time,” he says.

A partnership to cherish
Shri Ram Mining & Infra has come a long way forward in business since inception. But Joraramji believes the best times lie ahead for his Company. He is upbeat on the current favourable environment for mining and infrastructure development and is confident his Company will bag new mining contracts across territories. Immediate plans include building capacities in manpower and equipment. The Company is looking to add at least two new EC 480 DL excavators to its fleet in the near future.

Joraramji is effusive in his praise of Volvo equipments and the close and persistent interaction with Volvo CE Team. “There are many companies making many mining equipments. And then, there is Volvo – a class apart in every aspect and respect.”
