2D

2D shows real-time data for site levelling and slope profiling, helping operators achieve target depths or slopes quickly. Set target depth and start excavation in minutes. The included laser catcher on the excavator arm makes it compatible with existing tools.

3D

The ideal choice for complex and larger infrastructure projects. Offering full three-dimensional functionality, Topcon 3D-MC for Dig Assist allows designs to be uploaded directly into the Volvo Co-Pilot. Simply import a project file and get to work.

Volvo Smart View

Thanks to multiple cameras, Volvo Smart View gives a 360° all-round view from a bird’s eye perspective. The image can be shown on the Volvo Co-Pilot tablet or on the machine display.

Attachment versatility

Tiltrotators, tiltable buckets, buckets with thumbs, grapples and tilt quick couplers can easily be incorporated into the Dig Assist tools, unlocking the potential for further applications. The quick couplers library removes manual work: just select the quick coupler fitted on your machine and the settings will be imported automatically.

Attachment detection

Attachment Detection is Volvo’s system for managing your excavator attachments on-site. Thanks to a Smart Tag mounted to your attachment, Dig Assist recognizes which attachment it is. The operator no longer goes through menus to select the attachment they just picked up with the quick coupler.

Volvo Co-Pilot is connected to the internet, meaning you can retrieve information via the cloud at any time.

GNSS components support the four major constellations: GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo.

You can configure SATEL (Topcon) external radio from the Volvo Co-Pilot screen without needing to connect the radio to a computer. The radio can be programmed from the cab, without removing any parts from the machine.
