Greenstone Resources Corporation (Greenstone) has taken delivery of eight New Generation Volvo A40 articulated haulers from Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE), supplied through dealer Civic Merchandising.
The new machines have been added to strengthen Greenstone's hauling fleet, improving material movement and enhancing day-to-day operations. The investment follows Greenstone's evaluation of the Volvo A40's fuel economy, durability, and long-term ownership advantages.
Delivering fleet value
John Gerald Nofuente, Equipment Manager at Greenstone Resources Corporation, said:
"The Volvo A40 has proven to be a valuable addition to our fleet. We have seen strong results in fuel consumption, machine reliability, and hauling capability. The machines are helping us move materials more efficiently while delivering excellent value for our business."
Since entering service, the machines have demonstrated their ability to support efficient material transfer while delivering the reliability required for demanding applications.

Gabriel Nicolai Serquina, Product Manager, Civic Merchandising, said:
"As part of Civic Merchandising, the exclusive distributor of Volvo Construction Equipment in the Philippines, I am proud to witness the continued trust and confidence of Filipino customers in the Volvo CE brand. The recent purchase of the Volvo A40 by Greenstone is a testament to how customers value the quality, engineering excellence, and reliability of a Swedish brand with a global reputation."
Prioritising operator comfort and uptime
Operator feedback has also been highly positive. Greenstone reports that operators appreciate the comfort of Volvo CE machines, particularly during long shifts, reducing fatigue and supporting consistent output throughout the working day.
To maximise machine availability, Greenstone has established a dedicated maintenance structure comprising four on-site mechanics focused on repairs and six reserve technicians assigned to preventive maintenance services. The company also values the regular reporting provided by Civic Merchandising, which helps improve maintenance planning and fleet management.
Rakesh Ramgopal, Head of Market Philippines, Taiwan, and Brunei, Volvo CE, said:
"Customers are looking for equipment that can help them improve productivity while controlling operating costs. The New Generation Volvo A40 combines proven fuel economy, operator comfort, and reliable performance to help customers lower their cost per tonne. We are delighted to support Greenstone Resources with this latest fleet expansion and look forward to contributing to its continued success."

Contributing to sustainability objectives
In addition to strong operational results, Greenstone highlighted the fleet's reduced fuel consumption as a key contributor to lower emissions. These benefits align with the company's broader sustainability objectives while supporting more economical operations.
The Volvo A40 is part of Volvo CE's New Generation articulated hauler range, designed to deliver higher productivity, lower fuel consumption, enhanced safety, and a more comfortable operator environment. Advanced machine systems help optimise efficiency across a variety of site conditions, while the durable design contributes to long service life and reliable operation.
The delivery further strengthens the partnership between Civic Merchandising, Volvo CE, and Greenstone, reinforcing a shared commitment to maximising machine availability, lowering total cost of ownership, and generating long-term value from equipment investments.
