Six teams from across Region Asia competed in the Masters 2024 Region Asia Finals in Changwon, South Korea. The top two teams; Funky Mechanics, representing Korea Sales & Service and One for All from Volvo CE Singapore; will be making their way to the Volvo Construction Equipment Masters World Finals in Eskilstuna, Sweden from 6-8 May.
Six teams, comprising 4 members each, competed at Volvo Construction Equipment’s Masters 2024 Region Asia Finals in Changwon, South Korea from 5-6 March. The top 2 teams, Funky Mechanics from the South Korean Volvo CE Dealer, Korea Sales & Service, and One for All from Volvo CE Singapore are now heading to compete against 12 other teams from across the globe at the World Finals from 6-8 May 2024 in Eskilstuna, Sweden.
1st place: Funky Mechanics from Korea Sales & Service
2nd place: One for All from Volvo CE Singapore
3rd place: K-Tech from Korea Sales & Service
The teams competing in Masters 2024 Region Asia Finals were:
- Funky Mechanics / Korea Sales & Service
- Garuda Merah / PT Indotruck Utama
- Garuda Putih / PT Indotruck Utama
- K-Tech / Korea Sales & Service
- One For All / Volvo CE Singapore
- Team Taikoo / Taikoo Commercial Vehicles
Over the course of the 2-day competition, the teams were put through the following 4 stations to test their proficiency, knowledge, and expertise in troubleshooting and resolving pre-set machine issues or carrying out specified tasks:
- Articulated Hauler Station,
- Wheel Loader Station,
- Excavator Station,
- Fluid Analysis Station
Points were awarded based not only on the teams' ability to resolve the machine’s issues but also on how they analyse and troubleshoot the issues, as well as their use of Volvo CE service tools such as TechTool and PROSIS.
