Welcome to Volvo Construction Equipment in Braås

Our location in Braås was built in 1955. In 1966 the world’s first articulated hauler with all-wheel drive, the DR631 (Gravel Charlie), was born here. On top of that, the site can boast about being the first CO₂ neutral factory across the entire industry.

Braås is where the complete range of articulated haulers is being manufactured.

In addition to Manufacturing, this Swedish site is also home to functions like Aftermarket Support, IT, HR, Finance, and Communication as well as Global Marketing, employing approximately 800 people. An extensive Test Facility can also be found here.
