Up to serial number 1835, the machine was named L180. After that a generation change was made and the machine was renamed L180C.

Up to the generation change, the machine was available with two engines. A standard engine, TD 122 GH, and a low emission engine, TD 122 KHE. After the generation change, the only option was the low emission engine.
