Boundary limits

The depth limit feature prevents the bucket tip from going beneath a pre-set depth, ensuring it avoids contact with underground hazards such as pipes and cables.

Similarly, the height limit feature prevents the boom and bucket from exceeding a pre-set elevation, thereby avoiding overhead obstacles like power lines.

Additionally, the swing fence feature ensures that the swing does not exceed pre-set limits, protecting against contact with side obstacles.

How it works

Volvo Active Control is a steer-by-wire solution, combined with Volvo’s new electro-hydraulic control system, as well as Dig Assist software platform.

It is engineered, manufactured and installed entirely by Volvo to ensure full reliability, and no hydraulic pilot lines means means faster servicing and more uptime.
