Zero-emissions, maximum performance, ultimate versatility

Experience all the performance you would expect from a wheel loader in this size class, including 100% parallel movements, maximum traction and outstanding off-road capability and stability. All with the added advantage of zero emissions and reduced noise. Take on a variety of new tasks thanks to the expanded range of attachment options, including the hydraulically adjustable loading forks with tine positioning and side shift. Other new attachments include a 1.1m3 high tip bucket and 0.7m3 recycling grapple bucket for specialized applications, so whatever the task at hand the L20 Electric is the machine for the job.

Unlock new opportunities

Open up new opportunities for your business thanks to zero-emissions from the tailpipe which allows the machine to work where its diesel counterparts cannot, such as in emissions-restricted areas and indoor environments. Low noise levels further create opportunities for work outside of standard hours and in noise sensitive environments.

8-pin socket

An 8-pin socket enables the activation of hydraulic shift valves on attachments, facilitating the use of attachments which require an additional hydraulic function. By using the 8-pin socket, additional hydraulic functionality can be managed by using only the 3rd function and respective buttons on the joystick to shift over, enhancing versatility and ease of use.

Fourth hydraulic function

When working with attachments that require two simultaneously operating, independent and proportional hydraulic functions for control, the optional fourth hydraulic function can demonstrate its full strength with easy and ergonomic operation.

Advanced battery, long runtime

The L20 Electric comes equipped with a durable and high-performance 40 kWh battery as standard, a 20% increase in battery capacity compared to the previous generation, meaning the machine can work for up to 8 -hours on a single charge depending on the application. With the optional 56 kWh battery, capacity is increased by a further 40%, enabling a longer runtime between charging.

Fast charging

With the right machine configuration and battery capacity, the machine can charge from 20%-80% in as little as 1.5 hours* with on-board chargers. With a 17.3 kW fast charger, a charge from 20%-80% in 1.2-hours . *An L20 Electric with a 40 kWh battery can be charged from 20-80 % with the standard single on-board charger and domestic 230 V / 13A outlet (e.g. Schuko) within 8.3-hours . Fully equipped with three on-board chargers on an industrial outlet (32A) it will therefore take only 1.5-hours to charge from 20-80%.

Charge with ease and confidence

Colored LED lights indicate the charging status of the machine for a simplified charging process. The optimized charging software will automatically restart charging in the event of power interruptions or grid fluctuations during charging, ensuring you can confidently leave your machine unattended to charge overnight, ensuring a full charged battery at the start of the next working day.

A range of charging solutions

Choose from a range of charging solutions depending on your operational requirements. Every machine includes a country-specific AC charging cable and multiple adapters to fit the various outlets . Overnight AC charging is supported via on-board chargers with 4.6 kW, 9.2 kW, or 13.8 kW1 capacities*. External DC fast chargers (9.6 kW and 17.3 kW) are available for indoor and outdoor use. The PU40 40kWh mobile power unit ensures power at sites with limited grid access. *Depending on grid pre-condition in respective markets .

A superior working environment

Step inside the world-renowned cab, delivering all the industry-leading features you expect from Volvo, including easy entry/exit, new orange handrails, outstanding visibility and superior comfort levels. As an electric machine, operator comfort is enhanced even further thanks to the reduction in noise, vibration, heat and absence of exhaust fumes. The result is a cleaner and quieter jobsite, improving working conditions and communication for all jobsite staff.

New HVAC system

Whether working in the depths of winter or searing heat, operators can work in comfort thanks to the new powerful Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system. The new HVAC system is fully integrated in the operator interface allowing intuitive navigation via the keypad and jog wheel, with three selectable cooling and heating zones, as well as five-stage ventilation to ensure a pleasantly air-conditioned working environment. The result is a more comfortable, happier and productive machine operator.

Enhanced visibility

The already outstanding visibility and field of vision is enhanced thanks to daytime running LED headlights and 2 standard front and rear 2000lm LED work lights on the cab roof, with 4 front and 4 rear available as an option. An optional reversing camera further boosts visibility and jobsite safety.

Configured to your preferences

Operators enjoy ergonomic, intuitive controls and customizable working modes that adapt the L20 Electric to ground conditions, attachments and personal preferences. Traction force, hydraulic flow, joystick, and pedal sensitivity can be easily adjusted via the user-friendly interface. Additionally, the maximum travel speed is customizable according to customer needs and local market requirements using TechTool.
