Volvo CE debuts New Generation A60 hauler and SD120 compactor at Inspire 2025

Co-hosted with Indonesian dealer PT Indotruck Utama (ITU), the event marked the official debut of two Volvo CE New Generation machines: the A60 articulated hauler and the SD120 soil compactor. Now in its fourth edition, Inspire has become ITU’s flagship customer platform, providing opportunities to strengthen ties with customers, while also unveiling Volvo CE’s newest equipment for Indonesia’s mining and construction markets.
New Generation A60: the biggest, and the best
The launch of the New Generation A60 reinforces Volvo’s leadership in the articulated hauler segment. Designed for quarrying, mining, and heavy infrastructure projects, the machine delivers up to 5% higher productivity and 15% greater fuel efficiency than its predecessor, reducing overall operating costs.
Operator safety and comfort have also been enhanced through improved visibility and a redesigned cabin, while advanced features such as hill assist, downhill speed control, and load & dump brake provide greater control in demanding conditions. A newly engineered transmission and axle system further elevates performance and durability.
New Generation SD120: durable, reliable, and high-performance compaction
The Inspire 2025 event also introduced the Volvo CE New Generation SD120 soil compactor, specifically designed for customers in Asia. Weighing 11.4 tonnes, the SD120 combines durability, reliability, and high-performance compaction that contractors can depend on. With up to 8% greater fuel efficiency, it enables customers to maximise productivity and return on investment across a wide range of earthwork and roadbuilding projects.

Alongside the launches, Inspire 2025 featured a comprehensive machine showcase including Volvo’s electric solutions, such as the L120 Electric wheel loader and the New Generation EC210 crawler excavator. The event also recognised outstanding customer achievements through the annual Inspire Awards program.
