Setting new standards: Korea Sale & Service (KSS) Concludes 2025 Volvo Customer Experience Day with strong cross-functional collaboration

KSS successfully wrapped up the 2025 Volvo Customer Experience Day with an engaging showcase of future-ready technologies and an exclusive preview of Volvo’s New Generation machines. The event also highlighted stronger group-wide coordination in Korea, featuring deeper collaboration across Technology and Operations in Changwon, as well as closer cross-sales activities with Volvo Truck Korea (VTK) and Volvo Financial Service Korea (VFSK).

Volvo Customer Experience Day at the Changwon plant, South Korea

Korea Sales & Service (KSS) hosted the event on November 12–13 at the Changwon Plant, welcoming more than 160 key customers and employees from across the country. Customers who attended the event showed strong interest in the enhanced performance and features of the New Generation Excavator. More than 100 customers participated in pre-orders for 1Q 2026, marking the event as a resounding success.

The two-day event immersed participants in Volvo’s innovation journey, beginning with a Technology Roadmap Session that outlined the company’s vision for the future of construction equipment. Attendees gained firsthand insights into Volvo’s advancements in electrification, sustainability, and digitalisation innovations powered by enhanced cooperation between Volvo Group Korea (VGK) Technology and Operations. This internal synergy ensures that seamless processes and unified customer service excellence support the introduction of new technologies in Korea.

This year’s event not only showcased Volvo’s latest technologies but also highlighted inter-group collaboration in Korea, particularly the cross-functional collaboration within VGK across Technology and Operations and the cross-sales efforts with Volvo Trucks Korea (VTK) & Volvo Financial Service Korea (VFSK). These initiatives strengthen Volvo’s customer value proposition and lay the foundation for more integrated solutions in the Korean market.

Guests also toured the Changwon Plant, Volvo’s global hub responsible for producing over 55% of its excavators, where they witnessed world-class manufacturing, precision engineering, and rigorous quality assurance.

Complementing the product and plant experience was an exclusive preview of Volvo’s New Generation lineup, set to officially launch in the first half of 2026. Through live demonstrations and test drives, attendees experienced the impressive performance standards made possible through cross-group knowledge sharing and the combined expertise of KSS, Technology, and Operations in Korea.

Adding to the event’s appeal were dedicated customer lounges, photo zones, and partner booths that facilitated early product enquiries and business discussions, including opportunities to explore integrated solutions.

Myungkwan Lee, Head of Market Korea, said:

“We will continue to deliver innovative new-generation products and customer-centric solutions that enhance Korean customers’ business value and productivity as a trusted business partner.”

Terry Hong, Head of Operation Changwon, added:

“We are committed to delivering the best quality and innovation from our Changwon facility, ensuring every product meets the highest standards for our valued customers.”

Hojin Kang, Head of Excavator Technology, emphasized:

“Our technology team continues to push boundaries in technology and sustainability, driving solutions that create new value for our customers and the industry.”

With strong inter-group collaboration and a clear vision for the future, the 2025 Volvo Customer Experience Day set a new benchmark for how Volvo engages customers and drives strategic growth in Korea.
