Volvo's first mobile crane – the 690 – was introduced in 1968. It was based on the farm tractor T600 chassis and components.
The Volvo BM 693 telescopic mobile crane followed in 1970. It was a compact, rugged machine with excellent off-road performance that could lift up to 7 000 kg with short arm and 950 kg at 16 m lifting height. The wide range of attachments offered versatile, up-to-date handling.
Production of mobile cranes ceased in 1980.
