1940 – Aircraft engine

During World War II, the company converted production to manufacture – amongst other products – aircraft engines, gas-operated tractors and crawler dozers for the Swedish Air Force.

The aircraft engines were produced in a bombproof rock shelter outside Eskilstuna. A prerequisite was to have at least one Swedish-made engine in each aircraft – the imported German engines didn't reach the high-set quality standards.

This was yet another episode in the company's manufacture of sophisticated and technically advanced products.
