Volvo CE, together with fellow Volvo Group companies, has partnered with WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) on several initiatives designed to positively impact the environment by reducing CO2 emissions and raising climate change awareness. WWF entered a partnership with Volvo Group in 2010, seeing us as an industry leader when it comes to care for the environment. Through this alliance with WWF, we participate in Climate Savers, a program that requires its partners to drastically reduce CO2 emissions in their operations and products. Thanks to improved fuel efficiency, the total amount of CO2 emitted by Volvo Group products through 2014 will be reduced by more than 30 million tons, compared to products manufactured in 2008. And nearly all of our plants take part in WWF Earth Hour, an event that asks businesses and individuals to turn off their lights for one hour on the same day in March to send a collective message about the need for more renewable energy sources.
