Volvo VNX 630

Volvo Construction Equipment introduced the world’s first articulated hauler in 1966. To celebrate the 50th anniversary, a commemorative “Golden Hauler” embarked on a North American tour, making its final stop at
ConExpo 2017 to be auctioned off, with proceeds supporting training programs that encourage new generations to enter the construction industry. The “Golden Hauler” traveled in style, transported by gold painted VNX 630

Volvo Penta

Volvo Penta D5 Engine

Volvo Penta’s five-liter industrial engines are equipped with a common rail fuel system and are some of the most powerful four-cylinder diesel engines available. With the variable geometry turbo, the D5 performs on par with larger six-cylinder engines and offers greatly increased torque at low RPMs. The Tier 4 Final engines use proven SCR technology with light EGR, eliminating impacts related to regeneration. Available in 143-218 hp range, these compact engines are easy to build into OEM machines and equipment with limited space.

Volvo Penta D8 Open Power Unit

Volvo Penta showcased its fuel-efficient EPA Tier 4 Final PowerPac for industrial applications. The 315 HP D8 featured at the show, which is part of a 5 to 16 liter line-up, utilizes Volvo Penta’s proven SCR technology with light exhaust gas recirculation. The Volvo Penta solution for Tier 4 Final is very compact and does not require regeneration, resulting in less downtime and reduced maintenance costs.

Volvo Penta Tier 4 Final Solution

Volvo Penta's strategy to meet the Tier 4F emission demands is to keep it simple for the manufacturers. By using proven SCR technology with a light EGR system, installation challenges for the manufacturers will be reduced, no regeneration is needed and operations costs are low.
