Carl Lockwood is senior vice president of Strategy and Business development at Volvo Construction Equipment.
In 2008 Carl Lockwood was appointed Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. In this, his current role, Carl is in charge of all merger and acquisition activity and for the overall strategy of Volvo Construction Equipment.
Lockwood started his professional career with the Ford Motor Company in 1978, working in the agricultural and construction equipment division, where he held various US-based roles in sales & marketing and product planning. In 1998 Lockwood joined Volvo Construction Equipment to lead the development of Volvo Compact Products. He was subsequently appointed Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the company’s North American region, and in 2005 Lockwood transferred to Volvo CE’s headquarters in Brussels, Belgium where he led solutions development.
An American national, Carl Lockwood, 59, holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Education at the University of Georgia and is an Associate of Applied Science in Engineering at the State University of New York.
