Ann-Sofie Räftegard is Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Volvo Construction Equipment.
As from October 1st 2019, Ann-Sofie Räftegard takes up the new position on the Executive Management Team (EMT), reporting to company President Melker Jernberg. She will be in charge of driving talent management, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, diversity and engagement of Volvo CE’s global workforce of over 14,000 people.
She joins Volvo having spent more than three years at the Swedish Höganäs Group, where she was Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to that Ann-Sofie has held important roles at IKEA, Daimler/Mercedes Benz, Johns Manville and Perstorp.
Ann-Sophie is bilingual in Swedish and English and holds a degree and diploma as a Gestalt Practitioner in Organisation from the Stockholm Gestalt Academy in Sweden. She also has a degree in Human Resource Management from Växjö University, in Sweden.
Ann-Sophie will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She replaces Diana Niu, who took up the role of Executive Vice President of Human Resource Management for the Volvo Group from 1st January 2019.
