The Volvo hybrid crawler excavator combines pioneering Volvo hydraulic hybrid technology and your sustainability efforts into an efficient machine and environmental care. You will save fuel and reduce your emissions while not lose out in productivity- quite the contrary. With the fuel savings our hybrids offer, both you and the environment come out on top.
How does it work?
Featuring unique hydraulic hybrid Volvo technology, the excavator stores the boom down motion energy into the accumulator. The stored energy is regenerated to support Pump driving through the assist motor, which in turn powers the engine system. The result is up to 17% increase in fuel efficiency through digging and dumping operation on earth level while delivering all the power and performance you would expect from a conventional excavator.

Built to deliver outstanding strength and durability, this heavy-duty production machine features a robust undercarriage with reinforced idle frame, track links and bottom rollers. Reinforced bucket linkage with steel strip, optional heavy-duty superstructure undercover and easily replaced bolt-on wear plates at the arm end ensure the excavator succeeds even on the toughest of jobsites.

Nothing is better for reducing downtime than no downtime at all. Volvo excavators boast some of the longest service intervals in the industry, with 1000-hour engine oil, hydraulic oil and fuel filter changes to mention a few. More synchronized service intervals further increase uptime and reduce costs.
Easier inspection
The swing out condenser makes the radiator and oil cooler easier to inspect, as well as easier refill of the air-con system when needed.
Oil drainage
For simple and environmentally friendly fluid draining, engine oil and hydraulic oil can be drained from the quick drain port using a common hose connection. Optional fast filling systems are available for hydraulic oil and engine oil (market dependent).
Fluid Analysis
Fluid Analysis can be an important contributor to monitoring the health and performance of your machines and this optional feature provides an environmentally safe method to collect small oil samples via a vacuum pump.
Shut-off valve
A convenient shut-off valve when changing fuel filters prevents oil leakage, helping to keep technicians and the environment cleaner. An optional ground-level quick oil change access port further supports cleaner and safer oil changes.
