Volvo CE Asia gather its dealers in Singapore to plan towards 2030 together

With the shift to electric and increased focus on service support and customer satisfaction, we enjoyed some positive discussions with our Asian partners as we focus together on reaching our 2030 ambitions.

On October 26-27, 2022 Volvo CE Asia held a 2-day regional dealer conference in Singapore to discuss the company’s strategy for the next decade. The event gathered Volvo CE leadership as well as 18 dealer representatives from nine markets across Asia. All those in attendance got to enjoy a rich and varied selection of presentations and had the opportunity to take part in a series of discussion sessions.

As well as electric machines, services and customer satisfaction, discussions at the workshop included broader goals in relation to general sustainability, digitization, and connectivity.

A.M. Muralidharan, head of productivity & retail development Asia, presented information on new launches to delegates and looked ahead to products coming down the pipeline. Doris Gong, head of brand marketing & communication Asia & China, introduced Volvo CE’s future marketing shift in Asia and highlighted the changes dealers can expect in the coming months and years. R Rangarajan, director of product marketing, talked about the future of service for construction equipment while Gerard Lim, aftermarket and customer solutions vice president, discussed the importance of these services changes for dealer organizations.

“We had very open discussions focused on strategic topics around the future outlook, transformation needs, OEM roles and responsibilities and more. The dealers were well-engaged. We have agreed and outlined our way forward and will be laying out a detailed road map for each country and dealer.” said Tomas Kuta, head of Region Asia

Pascal Van Der Gracht, head of Retail Development Region Asia, described the success of the workshop: “this workshop was a great opportunity to meet, have open and transparent discussions and spend time together,” he said. “We talked about our ambitions around electric machines, our service business and customer satisfaction, plus much more. We presented our strategy, and it was great to see how passionate our dealers are about this too. Because, in the end, we all want to “build the world we want to live in!”
