Volvo dealer Korea Sales & Service (KSS) sent a team of its most talented technicians to compete in the Volvo Masters 2024 event – and they won. The global competition included 3 rounds of testing across skills, knowledge, and teamwork covering all aspects of aftersales operations.

Volvo Construction Equipment’s plant in Changwon, Korea, has opened a new battery pack facility that will produce battery solutions for the Volvo Group. An opening ceremony was held for employees, members of the EMT, and suppliers who helped with the construction of the new facility. Mass production of the battery packs began on April 23, with the battery pack being used first in our new model of EC230 Electric excavator.

The Region Asia Dealer Services Excellence Program (D-SERVE) was first launched in 2021 and has been ongoing for 3 years. The objective is to give higher recognition to good dealer services operational performance and to encourage dealers to invest and put in more resources in those areas.

Yamazaki Machinery, the exclusive dealer for Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) in Japan, opened a new showroom and test facility in Komagane, Nagano Prefecture, on April 12th, 2024. Interest and demand for Volvo CE’s machines continue to grow in Japan, and the facility allows customers to get a detailed view of the equipment and see it put through its paces in a real-world test environment that mirrors construction site conditions.

Following last year’s launch of the first electric machines (L25 Electric compact wheel loader and ECR25 Electric compact excavator) from Volvo Construction Equipment in Japan, the company is introducing a third model to the country – its largest yet. The EC230 Electric excavator will be unveiled at the Japan CSPI-Expo in May, ahead of the first units heading to job sites across the country. It is the first commercial introduction of the EC230 Electric to Asia following its introduction to North America and select European markets.

Volvo Construction Equipment rolls out digital services in Asia to help customers boost productivity and efficiency. In the latest example, customers in Taiwan, Indonesia, and Japan are the first to trial the Connected Map & Performance Indicator solution. The solution has given valuable data points to the customer that is an enabler to increase productivity, better fleet optimization, lower fuel consumption, reduce emissions and improve on-site safety.
