Mining, highway and real estate company Tang's Sunrise Investment Co. has ordered 100 units of heavy excavators on the first day of Volvo Construction Equipment's sales promotion in the Chinese city of Fuquing. The deal - one of over 250 machines sold during the event - adds to Tang Sunrise's Volvo fleet of 17 large excavators, including two flagship 70 tonne class EC700 BLC.
Tang Sunrise's 100 unit deal includes 75 units of Volvo's 36 tonne EC360BLC, 15 of the larger 46 tonne EC460BLC, and 10 units of the 29 tonne class EC290BLC. These machines which will be used in the development of a large coal mine in Shanxi Province in China.
"Compared with other manufacturers, [I am impressed with] the strong digging force, high fuel efficiency, good service support and easy troubleshooting of the Volvo products," commented Mr. Tang when asked his reasons for committing to the Volvo Deal.
The deal was signed in late February at Volvo dealer Fuzhou Huanda Machinery's Spring Festival Ordering Seminar. With the theme of 'Fortune in Owning Volvo', the customer event ran for 10 days. During that time over 250 machines were ordered, almost all of them medium and larger sized excavators.
