Objective: To teach those persons with responsibility for maintaining the complete operability of the Volvo MT2000 milling machine. Discuss proper set-up, operation of the unit and usage of automatic level controls. Review the hydraulic and electrical systems along with troubleshooting procedures.

Who should attend: Mechanics and service technicians with responsibility for the MT2000 milling machine.

Description (Step 1):

    • Site safety
    • Milling 101 - industry review
    • Operator controls and screens including hands-on navigation of the controls and screens
    • Unit set-up and hands-on operation
    • Automatic level control systems including hands-on operation of the MOBA controls 
    • CAN networks and hands-on troubleshooting of a CAN network
    • Hydraulic and electrical systems review including component locations, hands-on measurements and troubleshooting
    • Drum service
    • Software interlocks
    • Propel, brakes and steering systems
    • The conveyor system
    • The general purpose system
    • Engine
    • Software
