Handling lubricants correctly will protect your machine, your health and the environment. Here are a few important points:

• Change oil and filter in time  
  To avoid unnecessary wear and burnt piston rings you should respect the service intervals. It is economical to change the oil filter at the same time as you change oil. A new oil’s characteristics deteriorate quickly when an old filter is used. Old filters may get clogged causing engine damage.

• Maintain cleanliness
  It is important to maintain cleanliness when filling oil, especially around the filler point. Carelessness is the major source of impurities that cause wear, erosion, corrosion and malfunctions.

• Check the oil level
  An oil level that is too low is a frequent cause of component failures. It is important to check the oil level in the engine, transmission and hydraulic system at regular intervals.

• Disposal of waste oil
  Waste oils should be handled as environmentally hazardous waste. Disposal is subject to national and local laws.

• Direct contact with oil and grease
  Avoid direct skin contact with oil and grease.
