Woodworking machinery

Beronius Mekaniska Verkstad, which opened in Eskilstuna in 1878, soon began to make woodworking machinery; saws, planes, saw mills and the like. In 1917, the company was merged into Munktells Mekaniska Verkstads AB. After Volvo's acquisition of AB Bolinder-Munktell in 1950, the manufacture of woodworking machinery was transferred to Söderhamns Verkstäder.
At the Munktell museum, several different types of woodworking machinery can be found, among which the Bolinder-plane from 1883 is a particular object of interest.
