Heavy infrastructure

The heavy infrastructure segment often involves machines used by companies specialized in mass earthmoving in conjunction with major construction work for new motorways, dams, waterways and harbors involving the excavation or placement of material and overburden. It also covers machines used primarily in construction and maintenance of fixed ways such as railroads, rail beds, subways, and elevated rail systems for both passengers and freight.

Finally machines are often used in applications relating to the construction and maintenance of major water control structures and marine facilities (ocean, freshwater and inland waterways); including reservoirs, levees, sea walls, docks, piers; excludes agricultural irrigation systems.
