The 13th exhibition "Russian Wood" took place in Vologda on December 10-12. Volvo Construction Equipment was among tradeshow participants.
"Russian Wood" is one of the largest exhibitions of Russia offering the full range of products of domestic and foreign wood, pulp-and-paper, woodworking and wood engineering enterprises.
Tradeshow organizers include Vologda Oblast administration, Vologda Oblast Wood Department, the Department of Foreign and Interregional Relations, Fairs and Tourism, as well as "Russian Wood" Exhibition Complex.
Originally, the fair was named "Vologda Wood", and it was intended to support the timber processing complex of Vologda Oblast during the economic downturn of the mid 90-s. The participants of the first tradeshow in December 1996 included 46 timber processing enterprises of Vologda Oblast. However, two years later on 13 August 1998, Russian government's direction No. 1163-r was issued to hold the All-Russian Exhibition "Russian Wood" in Vologda in December.
