Customers in the recycling industry are involved in processing materials to regain or convert into commodities. Volvo indentifies two main industries within this sector, namely, scrap and waste.

The Scrap industry is involved in recycling by collecting, sorting, piling, cutting, loading and unloading materials. It covers commodities like steel, scrap, non metal scrap, cars, electronics, electrics and batteries.

The Waste industry is involved in recycling waste by sorting, stock piling, shredding and loading. Commodities like paper, paperboard, wood, glass, secondary fuel or garden waste is on the focus.

Customers deliver their products to industries like steel mills, incineration plants other industries.
